audibles at the line?

Plenty of times I have gone into a certain formation based on what the offense is lined up in, only to have the opposing offense change the play. Two questions:

- Any way other then calling a timeout for me to switch my defense?

- Why can't my QB do the same? There are so many examples where I call a run and they stack the line and my QB should obviously change the play to a pass.

Re: audibles at the line?

As far as I know you need to burn a TO or hope you don't get hurt to bad on the play. If you had a blitz called hope they get there.

I wish the game gave you even only 2 hot calls for Offense and defense a run and pass play audible, plus an run stopping and nickle on defense.
That would help alot when that happens.

The formation shown on top is your teams best guess at what they will run, it obviously doe not know the pay they are using so does not know the personell the opossing team is using.

At the end of either half when the play call has "hurry" you will sometimes get an offensive audible if you cancel (press the O button on ps3). I've seen it a few times when your offense shifts formations prior to the snap. Of course you have no say what play is being called.
