I should've got the ps2 madden 10 version from the get go

After doing some research on this game, I found out this game is tons more fun. realistic stats (ie, Patrick Willis actually gets 10 tackles per game average), ball actually spins, great gameplay, lead blocking is so fun....why was I missing out on this?

If you have a backwards compatible ps3, you should do yourself a favor and play this version. Trust me, this kills the ps3 version.

No one wants to play washed out, low res visuals.. let go of your old boob tube 4:3 crt and experience crisp clear visuals.

What the heck are you smoking ? 360 & PS3 version is way more fun then the PS2 version. And if you stop playing 5 minute quarters you can easily average 10 tackles per a game with Patrick Willis.

Ummm, I used to play 12 minute quarters with 20 sec acc. At most Patrick Willis used to get 8 tackles. But he averaged like 4 or 5 and tallies up about 70 tackles in the year which is not realistic imo. In the PS2 version, he's consistently getting 10 or more tackles per game. None of that assisted tackles bullcrap.

the gameplay on ps2 is way better, obviously the presentation is still the same. Take it for what it is, no need to get mad at me you guys.

Be open minded and you'll see the difference yourselves.

So is that what this is about? Patrick Willis getting 10+ tackles? Your going to base it off of that?

wow, tough crowd here.

just saying, i've played the ps3 version for months and waited on the patches but it just messed with the stats and the gameplay on the ps3 is horrible as far as offline goes.

Guys like Patrick Willis, Urlacher, Rudd, Fletcher, etc who are suppose to get 100 plus tackles a year get it when you play every game. The stats are much more realistic for some reason.

Theres so many good things about the ps2 version. Granted it sucks in the "graphics" dept but is that what it's all about?

I agree with the op, the PS2 Madden is much more free of gameplay. What I mean is that in PS3 Madden, all I have to do is hold turbo and my running back will do jukes and hurdles without me pressing any buttons! In PS2, you have to do the spins and stiffarms yourself, none of that computer assist crap. However, I don't play Madden "2001" (2010 is same thing updated rosters and gimmicks) but will agree it is better than the PS3 version.
