are the pitches actually motion captured or did they make the movement, spin, and deception of the pitch artificially but not made up. Sorry if that's confusing at all.

I am sure they are generated by some type of physics program. I do not believe they mo-capped the trajectory of the different pitch types. I am not even sure if something like that could be mo-capped.
