Is a morph-free Madden game possible?

(XBox 360) - In Fight Night Round 4 I never see a fighter punch through another fighter like I see the occasional player morph through another player in Madden (even after patch 2) while trying to make a tackle. Granted, the Madden developers have a tougher job, I understand. Here is an example from my latest franchise game at All-Madden level where I use the hit stick, and instead of Ronde Barber jarring the ball loose from Steve Smith, he instead harmlessly morphs through him. You can the video in real time, and see the stills I took from it below.

My question is, are the Madden devs at least getting close so that we soon won't have to see this again? Or is it impossible to totally eliminate things like this from the game with so many moving objects on the field?

I don't want this to become a bash EA thread. I would like a serious answer from someone who knows. Maybe compromises are being made so that more things can be added to the game, and that the occasional player morph through player, ball through player, and ball through crossbar on field goals are considered acceptable if they happen infrequently.

I've long since turned off "Fight For The Fumble" and I would turn off the goal line and chain gang refs if I could. But I for one would much rather have fewer features in exchange for solid gameplay and never having to witness another morph again.

It will be interesting to see if the guys that are doing BackBreaker are able to solve the morphing / clipping issue.

Re: Is a morph-free Madden game possible?

I started an online Franchise last week.Since we are playing all the games we turnd it up to All-Madden for a better challenge.

Now b4 that I would only play out the games in the playoffs or big game during the season on All-Pro.I have played a lot of games offline,I mean ALOT!
And I have NEVER seen morphing till last week when we started playing on ALLMadden. Maybe its just an All Madden thing maybe not.Just thought I would share that.

And with the Fight for the fumble. Is there a way to turn that off during an ONline Franchise?

It's only noticeable in slow motion replay. When you are playing a game it looks normal.

Re: Is a morph-free Madden game possible?

I think this is what people are talking about when they say the "engine" or the "core" of the game is broken. I saw it real time on the all-pro and all-madden levels along with olineman sliding 3-4 yards to start a blocking animation all the time when I used to play (haven't sine the 1st weekend after patch 2 dropped).

I honestly believe this madden will always have these issues, they've been there from madden 06 to 10. I think it possible to have a game without them or with them at a minimum, I just don't think the foundation of madden will ever allow this game to do that.

Definitely not true, it's noticable when you play. However, most other games with full contact have this problem as well. I'm willing to bet that even FN4 has issues.
