Does anybody know why you are able to put your HB at the WR SLOT position in some formations, but not in others?

for example:
Y-Trips HB WK
I'm able to put WR's and even TE's in the SLOT, but not my HB.
I just want to be able to run the Motion WR option with him.

The only other place it'll let me put my HB is at one of the WIDE OUT positions.

That's just how the game is. Unfortunately, we don't have the capability to do position by position formation subs. That is one of my favorite features of Madden 10 that isn't in NCAA.

can't you put the HB you want in that WR slot on depth chart?

I think they are trying to Replicate the feeling of real team playbooks and formations. IF you have a gifted RB you should be able to put him any where you want. NCAA 11 maybe will have this in.

The drawback to that is that it takes too long.

another thing that was in last gen ncaa that isn't here, also formation specific audibles were badass
