Is it worth it for me?

So I've been an NBA2k guy for quite some timea fter Live started to get too arcadey.....Is this game more realistic? Is it fun? I love NCAA basketball so I was thinking of getting NBA LIVE but want peoples inputs.

Re: Is it worth it for me?

If you like NCAA...then you should really like LIVE.

Don't expect as well rounded a game as 2K, but the controls and movement is better (as you already know from NCAA) and the game can be played as a SIM if you want to.

First thing you should do is go and grab the latest DNA as it improves the game a hell of a lot (compared to out of the box).

Re: Is it worth it for me?

Upon initial release it seemed too sim for and many 2K converts were finding the game overly difficult on All-star.

The controls for Live. I agree that if you like NCAA you'll love NBA Live.

Re: Is it worth it for me?

i had been a 2k guy forever, but i am more into college basketball overall. Since ncaabasketball 10 is the only new game going, it kinda won me over with the EA way, after i struggled with the new controls for awhile. Once i got it down though, i had to have live10 because i just couldnt play ncaa basketball 10 and the next day play nba2k10 because of the control differences. Glad i bought live now, cause i can seamlessly play some college basketball and nba without remembering new controls

Re: Is it worth it for me?

I struggled with the whole 2K10 vs. Live 10 debate. Then I lucked up and the Blockbuster around my way was going out of business and selling everything. I bought NCAA 10 for $10 and loved it. Decided to go ahead and buy Live because I figured the controls would be similar. I haven't been disappointed. If you like NCAA 10 then you'll like Live.

Re: Is it worth it for me?

The amount of stupid bugs and new things getting broken with every patch 2K puts out brought me back to Live this week (I've had both since release). I find that Live is far more satisfying when playing against the CPU, which is what I primarily do. The Dynamic Season is amazing. The game is actually difficult, unlike 2K which just seems to be a run and dunk contest. While some of the presentation aspects and animations aren't as good as 2K, I think Live is far more satisfying to play.
