The 2010 Baltimore Orioles

One of the most important seasons in recent memory...Can't wait to see how much the young guys progress.

Re: The 2010 Baltimore Orioles

I have a soft spot for the Orioles, because my cousin lives right outside Baltimore and she took me to a couple games last year against the Red Sox. In short I saw one of the greatest games of my life, I was there when the O's game back from 9 down after a rain delay to beat the Sox. It was freaking awesome, I said if Markakis gets the winning knock I will buy his jersey after the game, sure enough he get's a double to knock in two I believe and the O's won it!!

I was a Orioles fan for the day, I love Markakis, he is a truly underrated player. And I have never seen a more hyped up rookie then Wieters, signs of him everywhere in that ballpark. Hope ya'll have a great season, and I will definitely be at about 3 games this season. Oh and I love that ballpark, very unique and beautiful.

O's sign Miggy Tejada to a 1 year deal. Will most likely play 3rd base.

They still need to get something out of the SS position. I know that Andy is drafting pitching, and it is needed in the AL East, but man, Izturis in just a hole in the line-up. .256 BA and a .294 OBP. I know he is cheap at 2.4 million, but he is at best a stop gap we need to find a youngster or address this next off-season in FA.

I really expect big things out of the O's in 2011, this year I see being more of a tease, hopefully we can get to 81 wins, that would be lovely.

I was stat geeking today. Adam Jones hit .353 against the Yankees, .361 against Tampa and .278 against the Jays. Sadly he hit .219 against Boston.

I was there on May 30 against Detroit, which was Wieters' second game, and it was crazy. The Yard was full, Wieters jersey shirts everywhere, and every time he came up to bat, and when he got his first career hit (triple), the place went nuts.

Once we get to the playoffs, that place is going to be a madhouse. The new World's Largest Outdoor Insane Asylum as Memorial Stadium used to be.

Yea I really see a development going on in Baltimore. They didn't handle that team properly in the past bringing in old free agents that were way past their prime. Now they got some great young talent and a good thing in place, I hope to see them contending here soon. And the fans deserve a good team in Baltimore, that's a baseball city.

Anyone know of any good O's fan forums other than Orioles Hangout? That site is great, but the forums have been absolutely destroyed by 2 trolls that for some reason haven't been banned.
