Hi guys!
It's been a couple of years I am a member here, and as you can see by my posts total, I am more of a reader than a writer. I wanted first of all to write a message to thank all of you for making sports videogame experience better (I write this is MLB the show forum as it is my main game but this applies to any other sports game as well). From rosters to sliders, to music and ways to improve the way we play the game, everyday there is something new to find here and to be sincere this is the main reason I finally bought a PS3 jsut to play The Show in time for the '09 version. I think the way SCEA takes inputs from that community and seems to use it to make the game better year after year should be a lesson for other companies creating any kind of games.
Somebody probably already had my next idea for season/franchise mode but having searched most of the forums, did not find it anywhere. I thought about it yesterday and tought it was a brilliant idea I had to share with you guys. What if, every time there's a roster update, there would be a current season's save slate available. If we take madden for example, you download the rosters and the season or franchise current slate and you begin right in the wildcard round, with all current stats. For the show, for the people playing with the Tigers by example, you could download a season/franchise slate from any week in august and try to prevent the Twins to catch you, and all of that, starting with the stats/standings from the moment. Every week at the same time of the roster update there would be a new file available with up-to-date stats so for people that are bored with there franchise/season instead of having to start all over again you could pickup the season wherever it is at the moment and go from there or chose any previous week.
It would probably be a nightmare to create those I don't know but in my head it looks really sweet !!
I hope I did not scare anyone with the large text and I apologize if I took anyone else's idea
Cheers,
Js
