Player faces

I haven't bought NHL10 yet, still playing Madden. I was thinking of getting NHL10 but after playing demo, I'm still on the fence. I like the new features but nothing to get too excited about.

One thing that really bugged me last year was the players faces in the PS3 version. Being a Canadiens fan, there we're only 2-3 players that I could recognize without seeing their jersey number. Is it still the same this year or have they made progress?

I'm no expert on the topic. But I guess I'd say no...there really hasn't been a big effort to make the players very recognizable.

There maybe some progress, but I don't think too much to speak of though.

Yeah, pretty much the star players are gonna look like their real life counterparts, the rest generic. Not a big deal to me personally, since it's kind of hard to admire the faces while skating.

Still alot of generics which I dont mind but at least kinda look close or allow us to edit not real ones like guys with long hair being bald kills me .
As far as updating faces I notice many updated and tweak through roster updates , If I recall I believe alot of teams that got love were Canadian teams (ex old Monster Tor and new one still not great but not bald )and I cant describe it but many faces look tweaked like they did a mass adjustment like a haloing .
I say this as I have edited 4 different rosters and maybe im crazy but I have noticed this and they did update some goalie gear .
