Raiders Franchises

Just curious, how have you guys handled the salary cap in your Raiders franchises?

Re: Raiders Franchises

ive been trying, you basically have to accept 4 bad seasons and not sign a soul, then you can totally start rebuilding, if you have upstaed game with patch on 360, tryout chiefs.

Re: Raiders Franchises

jus scout and sim the first season. unless you are into playing frustrating games.
your first season with the raiders you are basically screwed unless you find guys in the draft who are willing to sign those 7 year deals for next to nothing.

dont resign anyone except nnandi asoug****it if he is available for FA

DO NOT RESIGN RICHARD SEYMOUR. he will demand a HUGE contract

wit all the open slots, jus pick up FA's that will sign for the minimum.
it wont matter who is on the roster because you will need to sim the second season also to get thru the years it takes to be able to cut players with huge signing bonuses(it actually takes 4 years but you can kinda manage it by year 3)

release robert gallery after your first season. that should free up about 12 million

sign Lito Sheppard and move him to safety.

Re: Raiders Franchises

I just trade people who have a high salary cap who have 1 year left every year.

Re: Raiders Franchises

I had one...

I let Nnamdi go, because he's been locked up in Oakland forever and I felt bad.

I restructured JaBustus' deal so he walked after Season 1...Along with Seymour. Nothing like shredding a team even more than it is, but I actually won more games in season 2 with Andre Woodson as QB (sim all games) ...3-13 in season 1, and 5-11 season 2....i know all the draft gems so i purposely don't scout, so i don't know who to trade up/down for.

basically i got to year 7 and realized i hated the raiders boring look/feel. so i deleted it, and just drafted a 20 year old Terrelle Pryor to take over my Bills franchise.

Re: Raiders Franchises

I Resign Seymour, trade Morrison for Jason Jones (DT of Titans), sign Guyton in free agancy, draft a couple of O-linemen, cut Gallery, Javon Walker, and i found a steal in a draft, i draft a DT O. Williams (i think that was his name).

But i really don't know how those moves will affect my salary cap next season.

I trade for Nate Davis also, i sent Higgins to the Niners and a 5th round pick.
