Question NHL 2010, xbox 360 or ps3?

I want to get into playing NHL 2010, but cant decide which system to get, 360 or PS3. Which system does the game run better on?

Both versions are pretty much identical this year. If you play online, it may come down to what system your friends have it for.

Thats my problem. I like using the PS controller better, but all my hockey friends are on the xbox 360 network.

Well, you can get used to the controller. If your friends are on Live, might as well join them.

I had both versions, but traded in the 360 for the PS3. Why? Roster updates that you can find on here, especially the ones by MattG. Plus, he does historic rosters, rating changes, etc.
Graphically...didn't really notice any difference. The boards shake when checked into them on the 360, but don't on the PS3. No big deal there.

So I went ahead with the 360 and to be honest, I dont mind the controller at all. And the graphics look smooth even on my old non-flat screen tv. I've finally jumped into the reality of new age video games

I bought the basic arcade system but now I'm wondering if this system will have any disadvantage. Couple of questions I have:

1. Is 256 MB enough storage, or am I going to get stuck later down the road?

2. When I connect online, do I need to have the xbox wireless adapter or can I connect with a LAN cable? Reason why I ask, is I already have the LAN cable.

3. Is it possible to upload my own mp3 songs and play them over the songs in NHL2010?

If you don't want to play it online get it for the PS3. If you do, get it for the 360. That's the bottom line IMO.

As for your questions:

1. Pick up a 20gig hard drive on craigslist - they are everywhere and you can probably get one for $25-30. I just got one for my nephew for $30 on there.

2. When you go online i'd recommend using the LAN cable. You don't need that wireless unless you can't run a cable to where your 360 is. Plus who wants to pay $100 for that wireless adapter anyways? I ran a 75 foot cable at my house to avoid it. And besides, wired internet for gaming is always better than wireless.

3. Yes, you can put the mp3's on your Xbox and then use the custom soundtrack. The easiest way is to just burn them to a CD and then rip the CD on your Xbox.

Happy gaming!
