I agree with this, the Ravens vs Patriots game was a joke on the officials' part

That call on Suggs (it was Suggs right?) was horrible. Brady needs to worry about finding Moss rather than playing flag tag with the officials.

Protect everyone or protect no one. This crap where QBs are being given special treatment because of their disproportionately large salaries is utter BS and ethically indefensible.

He's right. I agree. It's getting ridiculous. Everyone on the field is a football player, including the QB's. Let them freaking play.

Re: Aikman: NFL going too far to protect QB's

Aikman knows how tough the game is. The man's career was cut short due to concussions but he's absolutely right in that the league is treating QBs as if they're made of glass. It's getting pretty bad when you see some QBs falling down like punters and kickers would if a defender gets anywhere close to em.

I hope more former QBs speak out on this and apply some pressure to the league to go back to older rules in regards to QBs.

definitely, if a guy that got beat up a lot can say it, other Qb's can say it

This is a qb driven league. The NFL is trying to protect their most important on field asset. We will see more protection than less and if these rules were in place Aikman would have played longer.
