Workaround for historical records (easy...)

I've seen a few people on here lamenting that the game does not maintain the past records, yearly stats, award winners, etc. when moving on to the next year.

Of course the usual apologies if this has been brought up before...but here is a suggested easy, if not lame, workaround for those HARD OVER at maintaining the yearly records.

At any point in the franchise you want to snapshot for posterity (I use the end of the post season awards notification) why not strike a baseline and SAVE the franchise at that point with a clever title like "2010_End".

C'mon...you know you'll never come CLOSE to using all of the memory that your ps3 has on board...what better excuse.

The lame part(s)? Yes, you'll have to take time out from your "current" franchise to go visit the past. Yes, it's not all in one place...you'll have to visit all of the years separtely...and YES the temptation to replay history if your chise has gone south is strong (you'll have to police yourself on that one).

But it beats not having the data at all, right? At least until MLB '10 breaks (hint...hint...).

Thoughts? Am I beating a decomposed horse?

Haha! Yes...but I get hand cramps way too easily...especially if I wanna know what some guy on another team batted against lefties over the past three years...that's a lot to write down!
