so it does happen, regardless if it was 121 points, take away 20 points and its still 58 PiP

what i am noticing alot lately in the nba is alot of 120+ final scores...

maybe 2k's association is accurate >< ...

That's what I've been telling people here... and It's not impossible to shoot over 50% in the NBA nowadays... the only thing that bothers me in this game, stat-wise is turnovers and assists..

Lakers haven't scored that many points in the paint since dropping 80 pip back in 2000... that's 9 years ago :P

Well the Suns are one of the worst defensive teams in the league... Can't wait till the Lakers play the T'wolves. 146 points was it?

I dont understand why folks complain about PIP. PIP include fast break baskets, floaters from inside the paint etc,
thats the fundamentals of basketball.

Well I think the biggest problem folks complain about is, that 50+ PIP is standard in 2k's games. However 50+ PIP is not standard in the NBA. I am looking at these stats a lot and I mostly see around 30 PIP (+- 10). And you barely get these kind of stats in 2k (at least pre patch, haven't played with patch, yet).

On the other hand there is no reason to complain about high scores. That's where I agree completely. Actually I think there are to less high score games. If you look at the team stats at the end of the season than the most I see is 105 PPG. 2 Years ago the GSW had over 110 PPG. So there is still chance for improvement.

I am really noticing the 120 points recently for final game scores in real life

there was one day this season when there was at least 2 games with all four teams scoring 110+

i'm just wondering why the trend is so high this season, does it have anything to do with the refs being inconsistent with foul calls?

@Brattli: I remember the lakers scoring 60 PiP not too long ago

@sanghai2: yeah that may be true, but there has been days when more than one of the games have 50+ PiP.

Also remember that the Suns defense has been subpar for years.
