Anybody else working on simmed stats?

I think I am at a point where I need some help if there is anyone else out there messing around with rosters to try to get the sim stats to look better. I have simmed over 30 seasons (2009-2010 season over and over) and have been seeing great improvement with my adjustments, however, there are still a few problems. The major problems I am having when simming a year are:
1. Guards seem to be scoring more than anyone else. I have fixed this problem so I have PF's and SF's in the mix and even being the leader at the end of the year on few occasions. However, centers still seem to be somewhat of a problem. Any suggestions?
2. Assist leaders. It is very rare for a guy to average 10+ assists for me. If it is done, it seems to be Rondo is the only one. I have messed with C. Paul's ratings/tendencies ALOT and still can't get him to average more then 7-8. Not a huge deal, but I would like to see guys like him, D. Williams, J. Kidd and others have a few more. Any suggestions?
3. Minutes per game. I post on another thread, but will repeat. When I sim games for New Orleans, C. Paul will go from getting 40 mins. to only getting 20 the next game. When he gets 40 mins. his stat line looks great, on 20 mins, it doesn't. This back and forth flow of mins. is why the assist numbers are down. Any suggestions? I have messed with rotations, and on one of my seasons I cut the roster down as much as the game would allow, and his mins. are still up and down. Who is running the point when he is on the bench for 28 mins?
4. Three point shooting is out of hand. When I first got the game I simmed some seasons (after playing alot) and noticed that some guys would shoot over 700+ three pointers. That is CRAZY. I have completely fixed this issue. You have to do some major editing, but it is pretty easy. instead of using a scale from 1-99, you need to use a scale from 1-18. The top guys in the league are the 18's. and go down from there. Don't be scared to put people at zero. If they J. Noah doesn't shoot a three pointer in real life for example, put him at zero. Guys like J.R. Smith, D. Granger can be an 18. Just use your own judgement. I wouldn't go over 18.

There are a few more problems, some I have solved, others I am just about there. Just thought I would put this out there and see if I get any response.

Thanks.

I agree I will never get it the way I want, but I am going to get it close. I am going to start a dynasty in a couple of days and thought I would put this out there to see if anyone has any suggestions. The simmed stats are now really looking pretty good for me. I have figured out a way to get around all the stupid trades the cpu makes, so this game is looking better and better everyday I mess with it.

How did you find a way to get around the stupid trades?

Re: Anybody else working on simmed stats?

When you first start your dynasty I put that I wanted to "control cpu rosters" Then as the season goes on when the computer starts making dumb trades (usually in January) then everyday just check the "News" in the league and look for trades. When you see a trade that you think is dumb, which will be most of them, just go to the trade screen and make the 2 teams trade back the players they traded. This may seem tedious, but if you are playing with the trade deadline ON it will only be like this for a little bit. When it gets close to the trade deadline you will have to do a LITTLE work, but it is so worth it. I just can't take seeing L.B.J. play for the Pacers.
I hope you followed my explanation. If not, just ask here.
The only bad thing is that you don't get the dynasty points, but I don't care about that.

Re: Anybody else working on simmed stats?

Thanks for the tip. It's not really that much work to keep an eye out for stupid trades. How are the FA signings, and player resignings after the season since all the stars are free agents after this year. I'm going to have to start messing around with simming some seasons and look into much of this myself so I don't have to post a million questions. Might be a little more preductive.

Won't this drastically affect gameplay?

No it doesn't effect gameplay like you would think it should. The players that should shoot three pointers still do, but the guys that shouldn't really, don't. Try it for 2 teams and see what you think. The sim stats come out very good.
