Week 10: Sunday Night Football - NE @ IND

Too early? Heck no, not for the Rivalry of the Decade. Let the hype begin!

Gotta love the the annual Colts/Pats game. Brady vs Manning. Primetime. Both teams are always atop their conference and atop the entire league. But the history in this decade between these teams is what makes it all the more special. With the Patriots beating Manning and the Colts I think 7 straight times.. before Manning finally got them in 2005. The Playoff games in 03 and 04 where the Pats went onto to win the Super Bowl, and Manning always being labeled a choker. But in 05 things started to take a turn, Manning finally beat the Pats for the first time in a rout, 40-21. And I think we all remember the epic AFC Championship game in 2006. Since '05, the Colts are actually 4-1 against New England, their one loss coming in 07(the year the Pats went 18-1). Last year's game wasn't the same though, with Brady sitting at home with a season ending injury. Glad you're back Brady, well, kinda.

Well anyway, Colts are on a roll. 8-0. Have won 17 straight games. Pats are 6-2, have won 3 straight. Here are team stats for both teams:

Colts Offense: 4th in yards, 1st in passing, 29th in rushing, 27.1 ppg.

Pats Offense: 2nd in yards, 2nd in passing, 16th in rushing, 28.1 ppg.

Colts Defense: 8th in yards, 9th in passing, 14th in rushing, allowing just 13.5 ppg.

Pats Defense: 7th in yards, 4th in passing, 20th in rushing, allowing just 14.4 ppg.

Big game for both teams. Patriots probably need this win more than the Colts. If Indy wins they'll be 3 games up on the Pats in the AFC and have the tiebreaker. Pats win and they'll be just 1 game back with the tiebreaker. For the Colts, it's pretty simple.. pressure Brady on defense and offensively we need to score TD's.. not FG's. Both offenses can go toe-to-toe with each other.. whoever scores more TD's than FG's will win this game. But I think it comes to defense in the end.

I'm not going to make a prediction. I just hope the Colts win and I'm pumped for this game.

I can't freaking wait for this game.

We have a chance to snap the 17 game win streak and avoid them tying us for 2nd all-time with the 18 straight we won a few years back.

More importantly, we have a chance to narrow the gap for homefield advantage.

Also, it'd be nice to finally get a true road win.

Colts need to do a better job in the redzone to even have a chance in this one. Our rookie corners defending Moss really worries me. If we can get Donald Brown back this week I think it will be a huge lift..I just dont think Joseph Addai can carry the load by himself. Successful redzone trips, Dline pressure, and getting the running game going will be key to the Colts winning.

Should be a great game. I like the Boston Brawler, Tom Brady. But I also like the Machine, Peyton. I think it will come down to whose defense shines the brightest. I honestly hope the Pats win because other than the Giants, I root for them. Should be interesting.

Why? You have faith in your Titans to get back in the hunt for the division?

Lol. Sorry.

Lol I knew that was coming. I just hate seeing the Colts succeed and the Titans fail.
