Second position in My Player

I created a 6'9 SF and I want my second position to be PF, how do I go about achieving that? I went through combine and when I got drafted (to NY) they had me playing SG the entire time, more than even SF. I didn't see a minute at PF.

Is 2nd position based on rating? i.e., if my overall rating at SG is higher than at PF, will they automatically make my second position SG regardless of my size?

Or does it have to do with stats? It said I averaged 8 apg (which I didn't) when I was drafted. If I average a double double will I be SF/PF?

Or do they base it on the summer league since you cant see your second position until after that. Possibly grades at each position and then choose then?

Yeah i think its based on your skills. If you want to play SF/PF then work on your rebounding, post defense, shot blocking and strength.

Sigh...I recreated my guy, only upped post/strength/rebounding/shotblocking and inside scoring and still ended up with SG as my second position.

Does second position ever change throughout your career?

Ive made a 6'9 SF and played Center a few times...

Its all about the team you are on I guess.

I'm talking about the second position in particular. You don't get to choose your second position, but if you look on the roster screen/position battle, you can see the second position they list you at. I'm listed at SG for some reason, despite having no handles or jumpshot.
