Revisiting CH 2k8 Unique Arena Venues

Lost among 340+ schools are a few gems out there that CH2k8 has in their game.

But first a big thanks to this earlier thread created by user moser316j back almost 5 years ago

Bored for the past few days, I decided to see what CH2k8 had in store that differed from the CH2k5 list. Not much had changed but it was neat going arena by arena to see which ones stood out.

First, I want to present all 99 unique venues in this game. Over 80 of them are considered authentic, with a dozen or so being "unique generics".

More than 70% of these may look the same to the average fan, but they are in fact all different.

Arena by Arena.. here we go:
(i got rid of the direct image links and instead am presenting it in a differen fashion)
Click on the Links for Each school that is shown per group:
And here is that list:

Re: Revisiting CH 2k8 Unique Arena Venues

With all that, We finished with 99 unique college venues. Adding in about 20 netural court authentics, and we have over 120 venues to choose from. 4x the amount seen in any NBA video game. We have it made here with the college games.

My TOP 5
I might have to go with those that have true specifics to details:

Love the roof here. It adds so much to the venue:

nothing like a small gym with its own flair. THE JUNGLE is unique and intimate:

triple decks represented well:

Brand new back when the game came out, they showcased this small unique place so well in this CH game:

Another small school being represented well. This unique place was also brand new a few years back. Black Curtain on one side brings a unique touch to this place:

Yep . . . this game was the king of unique arenas . . . Part of the fun was going to the tourney to play in unique places you haven't been before. I still haven't played in all of them

Re: Revisiting CH 2k8 Unique Arena Venues

I can't believe the love they gave to LIU's gym, that's amazing! Also ridiculous that I never noticed it on my own since I've started 4-5 closed legacies with LIU over the past two years but quit all of them before I got to play a home game.

Stonybrook's gym has got to be my favorite small arena in the game now, last night was the first time I checked it out as well. Very cool.

Re: Revisiting CH 2k8 Unique Arena Venues

LIU's colored walls give it away as being truly unique, but if you go check it out, youll see something like hte photos below.

in game sample shot

real life:

its really one of the most accurately represented arenas ive ever seen a game do, including nba games. attention to detail is superb
