Have you been on the site lately? I think they are talking about this in the patch impression. There were a few major glitches.

Ya seems like better not download the patch is the way to go.

I've been getting updates without the patch......

i don't wanna get into exact definitions cuz the ea guys know best but heres what i take it as:
dynamic updates are the stats and scores pumped into the game
dynamic dna are the changes in tendencies from each individual player
