What are your Association plans?

For those of you that like to play Association I'm curious as to what you're going to be doing...

1. What team are you going to be?
2. What's your starting lineup going to be?
3. Any trades you are going to make?
4. Who are you going to train every month? (assuming it gets fixed)

For me...
1. My official Association will probably be with the Warriors.
2. I know Curry will start at PG and Randolph at SF but trades will change the rest of my lineup.
3. Jackson and Ellis are most likely gone.
4. Definitely Anthony Randolph's shooting... make him unstoppable.

Re: What are your Association plans?

1. Houston Rockets
2. Yao/Scola/Ariza/McGrady/Brooks
3. Traded Shane Battier for Minnestoa's 1st round pick
4. Brooks (offense) and Scola (defense)

My long term plan (2010 off-season) is to get Kevin Durant to Houston along with one of the following big men to back-up Yao in Free Agency: Shaq, Big Z, Big Ben, Camby, Jermaine O'Neal.

I've simmed ahead to see if it is do-able, and it definately is (by trading to get the 1st round pick in the draft and then trading him for Durant). I have gone into 2010 with a starting Line-Up of...

Brooks
Ariza
Durant
Scola
Yao

McGrady (6th man backing up the 2 and 3)
Big Ben (6th man backing up the 4 and 5)
Lowry (back-up point)
Budinger (small minutes at the 2-3)
Landry (small minutes at the 4-5)
Dorsey
Taylor

I then simmed to the 2011 offseason to see if I could re-sign BOTH Durant and Yao (2011 free agents). Due to Bird Rights, it's possible, but it puts you in salary cap hell for a looong time. Still... who cares when you have Durant and Yao as your cornerstones!

That's the long term plan... right now, I am still in 2009 and am a struggling 8-7 team.

Re: What are your Association plans?

I'll be running with the 76ers

PG - Lou Williams
SG - Andre Iggy
SF - Thaddeus Young
PF - Elton Brand
C - Sam Dalembert

I will immediately put Dalembert on the trade block for another center and/or draft pick. If I trade him for picks, then I'll move Speights into the starting line up and give Jason Smith a chance to play some as a back up.

Re: What are your Association plans?

1. Knicks are my team
2. Right now its Duhon, Hughes, Chandler, Harrington, and Lee starting
3. I just traded Eddy Curry for Kyle Weaver for some youth and depth at the SG spot and because Oklahoma City needs a bigman so it seemed realistic. I may trade for McGrady for the star power and if he resigns for cheap I can bring in another good free agent with him
4. Im going to train Jordan Hill and Wilson Chandler

T-Mac is a steal. In 2010 I can always get him for a 3+1 (team option) for around 19 million (around 6 million a year) and when you re-up his contract, he agrees to come off the bench as a 6th man. Not only that, but the guy can still put up 25-30 points on a given night.

Re: What are your Association plans?

I am playing with the bulls and i am currently 1-3.. my plans are possibly sign a big name in the offseason, and draft a good small forward in the draft....Deng is not getting it done for me...i am looking at the possibility of trading him. I need more depth at shooting guards...still looking at the possibilities there.

current lineup
Rose
Salmons
Deng
Thomas
Noah

Re: What are your Association plans?

I started one using the Nets but I deleted it until the patch comes out.

My starting five:

Devin Harris
Terrence Williams
Yi Jianlian
Courtney Lee
Brook Lopez

Looking to package some players for a backup PG and a younger more versatile backup SF.
