I just got the game today and after playing around for a bit, I only have one gripe that makes this awesome game almost unplayable for me.

Every year I buy this game, I create myself as a player, join a team, and start a dynasty.

Here's the problem. When I play, I use player lock, only controlling my character.

I dont know if its just me, or something that needs to be looked at, but when player lock is engaged, my teammates do NOTHING!! They wont pass the ball to anyone (other than me when I press A) and if I dont press shoot, they will literally hold the ball until the shot clock expires, resulting in a violation.

Its really killing me that in order for me to use player lock, I essentially have to run the entire offense through my player. Its ridiculous. I shouldnt have to touch the ball EVERY trip down the floor. It ends up in my player have unrealistic stats just to win the game.

Am I missing something guys?

No. Player lock is broken. It is the same as NBA Live 2004. This was mentioned as something that would be addressed via patch. There has been no release date for the patch.

The same thing happens in quick play games. It is good to know the issue will addressed in the next patch.

i want to buy this game but i won't until i'm sure it will and can be addressed in a patch.

Good idea. Without a patch I will be trading in for 2k10.

that's good to know, because its a great game of bball w/o the player lock, its just that at my age, i haven't the quickness to switch and control more than one guy (LOL)...

I don't think it is a quickness thing as much as a preference thing. I just prefer player lock.
