NBA Today / Quick Game - ***IMPORTANT INFO!***

Just wanted to make sure everybody realizes this since I haven't seen a post yet that talks about this.

In NBA Today mode you are NOT limited by what games are actually in the real schedule that day. If you choose the 'quick game' option in NBA Today, which is below all the actual game listings, you can play any two teams and the game will create a game as if those two teams really had a game that day.

All the presentation and commentary context is still there, it's just a game that's not really in the schedule.

Basically there is no reason to not have awesome presentation unless your console is not connected to the internet.

I'm bumping this because from people's posts it's clear they STILL don't get it..

You can play ANY teams in a quick game in NBA Today mode - its an option under the 'real' scheduled games in the NBA Today schedule of today's games.. it even says Quick Game on it.

If you're connected to the internet, don't use the old quick game mode!

I get it man. That sounds very creative on 2k's part. Good find (although I think everyone would of eventually realized this).

2k is really doing their homework on ways to really make this game realistic in every possible way and this feature shows. I can remember one of the very first insights posted on the 2k website and they were talking about how NBA Today is going to be the one of the biggest innovations to NBA 2k. Well this kinda sets the bar as to what they truly meant.

hmm maybe its just me how is the presentation different from a normal quick game vs nba today quick game. Reason I asked is because I'm the type of person that tends to overlook things. I've been playing 2k10 for over a week so are you saying when I play my friends using the NBA today quick game something is going to be different???
