I have to say i'm a little disappointed not to see any new clubs in Rest of World (namely Russian and Ukrainian clubs, escpecially when the FULL Russian League is in the PS2 version this year) and very disappointed not to see any new national teams from FIFA 09, especially when PES 2010 has added so many (even if all of those additions are unlicensed).

Re: FIFA 2010 Team List

I figure the next big question regarding rosters is how up to date the club teams are. Well i can confirm that deadline day transfers like Johnny Heitinga and Niko Kranjcar are at their new clubs Everton and Tottenham respectively.

Lucas Neill is NOT in Everton however (he signed about two weeks ago). Sol Campbell is still in the squad for Notts County (he only quit like a week ago). I'm certainly not condemning EA for this...just pointing it out, and i'm sure there'll be a downloadable update to get it even more up to date (or via Live Season).

Re: FIFA 2010 Team List

Thanks for posting this list Cal. It's too bad that Argentine and Russian leagues aren't in PS3 version, but as long as Boca and River are in the Rest of the World mix I am happy. What's the point of having some one star Swiss clubs? EA needs to bring back Shaktar.

Re: FIFA 2010 Team List

Minor gripe, but i hate the naming conventions for French clubs in FIFA 2010. You might recall in the demo Olympique Marseille were simply known as "OM"...i figured they would be named in full in the full version of FIFA 2010, or better yet their common name of 'Marseille' but they are still listed as "OM". Likewise, Lyon are called "OL", Nancy are called "ASNL", Bordeaux are called "FCGB" and St Etienne are called "A.S.S.E." - all acronyms for their full names...when you combine them in a league where Monaco are called "AS Monaco FC" in full, it looks pretty tacky and unprofessional.

I had a similar gripe with PES 2009 where they went the other extreme, naming French clubs in full (eg: FC Girondins de Bordeaux) when just the common names (eg: Bordeaux) would've been better IMO. If we had the option to edit team names, i wouldn't even be mentioning this minor cosmetic issue.

No problems. And yes i also don't understand why there isn't a better selection of European clubs in the Rest of World section, the past two UEFA Cup champions are not even in there! (and i'm sure Shakhtar were in that UEFA CL 06/07 spin-off game, albeit unlicensed).

Re: FIFA 2010 Team List

This time around, there is no free trial code for Live Season 2.0 included with the game (you get a code but its only for giving your created Virtual Pro a few upgrades). On 360 Marketplace, it costs 400 Microsoft Points ($5 USD i think) per league, or 800 points for ALL leagues (ie: EPL, La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga, Ligue 1 and Mexican Primera).

Neill is in the Australian national team in the game, but i can't seem to find a way to move/copy him from a national team to a club team. Anyone know if its possible?

I guess manually creating him is always an option.

Re: FIFA 2010 Team List

Booooo...i can't even change Adrian Mutu's name in the game this year. He is again called "Andrei Murgu" in the game (and Martin Tyler even calls him Murgu during the match), but name fields are greyed out when going to Edit Player.

Same deal with any existing player in the game...you can't edit their names at all. But for some reason, you can freely edit their age

Re: FIFA 2010 Team List

Very diappointing national teams. Missing 3 world cup participants already, thats North Korea, Japan and Ghana.

Also Chile, Bahrain, Honduras, Costa Rica, Serbia, Slovakia, Bosnia and Latvia all look like either qualifying or having a chance of making their respective playoffs, not to mention the licensing shambles within the CAF.

How is the Serie A licensing exactly? I see Genoa are licensed now, but are Palermo and Napoli?
