If he is basing this off of that Pasta Parade website then he is foolish. That article was pure speculation. The 2k10 demo may very well come out on the 1st, and that would seem logical, but it is not truly confirmed yet.

Well the PSN Store is updated every Thursday so it makes sense that it will be out on the 1st

Actually, most people won't have the game until release date, that's why there is a demo.

I will most likely get the game this upcoming week, but there are a lot of other people who will not have that luxury, or would want to play a demo before purchasing.

It's also not just for the people that's already decided to get the game, whether it be later this week or next. There are still those out there who still have yet to decide which game to buy. The ones that don't always get either of the two right on their respective release dates.
