It just ruins the whole experience. If you think like me, sign your username on this petition and MAYBE, maybe 2k will take notice

Wait..... it's still only 5 mins quarters in the full game? That's not right, does anyone know why it's this way?

very disappointing. does this mean if it was over 5 minutes then your player would get unrealistic stats?

2K is supposedly worried about the skill points that your player will have throughout the games, or something like that.

I'm pretty sure the Devs can somehow fix this issue, as many players disagree with it; the main reason being that your created player won't get proportional stats to the real NBA.
