360 or PS3? (Please keep your console flaming outta here)

I have both consoles.
Does anyone know if there's a big difference between the two versions?

I will likely play NHL way more offline than online.

I'm curious as well. I heard there are no chants or board movement when checked in the PS3 version... anyone confirm or deny this?

I'm also quite interested in this question. Always played it on the 360, but open to switching to PS3 if it's a better experience in any respect.

Probably the same offline. GameSpot review mentions online performance being better on 360.

Multiplayer has been spruced up too, at least on the Xbox 360. While all of the modes remain pretty much the same, performance on the Microsoft console appears to be considerably improved. NHL 10 is as smooth as glass in even six-on-six online play with full squads of human players. Unfortunately, you can't say the same about the PlayStation 3 version of the game, which is still very laggy in online action. Random pauses and hitches are constant, and really interrupt the flow of the game. It isn't quite bad enough to be unplayable, although these brief stoppages are definitely maddening, especially when they occur when you're trying to pass the puck or get off a shot. If online play is important to you, go for the 360 version of the game if you have a choice.

Anyone else? I heard there are no chants or "board shakes" in the PS3?

I highly doubt that's the case. There is no mention of this in any of the reviews, and the games were both identical last year.

I've got the PS3 version and there are chants and there's no way it's any different than the 360 version. The EA games have very, very minimal "board shakes" so don't expect much of that no matter which version you get.

I personally went PS3 because I like the smoothness of the sticks for sports games and it's just a more reliable system for me.

Thanks. I might get the PS3 version just because of the great roster updates I read about on here. (equip updates, etc..etc..)
