How does aggressive slide protection work?

Does aggressive slide protection do anything good or bad? What about pinch?

Aggressive your linemen do seem to try to make more blocks up field, but they sometimes let guys through and pinch they do a slightly better job of sealing off the inside and not letting defenders come right up the middle.

Re: How does aggressive slide protection work?

I usually dont mess with line protection considering when i slide them left they dont go left and when i go right they dont go right, even when the play is designed to go one way they dont always block that way

That is because Slide Right and Slide Left are pass protection calls. In real football with slide protection the line slides to the gap in the called direction and the back picks up the backside edge. Slide left and right should have nothing to do with the run game

I am quite sure that slide works with the run game.

I think it's much more noticeable in Madden than NCAA.
