Exclamation Football4Natic's Opening Day Custom Sliders Pre Patch

Important: Please make sure that you only use Hardcore mode.

People do not believe this but that level makes the cpu tougher and their play calling and performance is much better. You lose replays but that is something I am willing to give up to get the best game play performance possible.

If you used these with advance or less then they will not work like they were intended.

Also these work fine for either very slow or slow. I like very slow but stayed on SLOW.

These sliders are the ones that I have been using for a few weeks now.

Some key notes include the fact that I waned to work on not having the cpu defenders break on the ball before my receivers or at the same time.

I wanted at least a second difference and I managed to get that a bit but not the whole time because if that was the case then passing would be to easy.

Here is a small clip of how my receiver was able to cut and the defender reacted after the cut and not prior:

Now as we know there is a patch coming this week or next week which is suppose to help control the amount of broken pro tak tackles and it is suppose to also help make the sliders more responsive to what you set it to.

Once the patch is out I will test these with that new patch and see if there is a big difference. If I do not see much difference then these are the sliders I will go with for the franchise mode.

If there is a big enough difference then I will work on a quick post patch set for franchise mode.

These sliders were made in franchise mode and tested in franchise mode. I am doing a test franchise to get the sliders right.

In order to stop the huge amount of cpu all out blitzes I had to control all 32 teams in franchise mode and change the defensive aggressiveness for each team.

What you do is go to the coach settings for each team and lower the aggression from default which is 50 for most teams and some have 60.

Just lower the amount by 30 for each team.

Remember that these sliders are not suppose to work for everybody. If they work fine for you then great. If they are to easy then tweak them a bit to make the part you think is easy, a bit harder. If they are to hard then do the same.

I do not have any sub sliders right now. It is hard to get that to work with the fatigue slider where i have it. I guess I might look into it more when the patch comes out that fixes ratings for fatigued players.

Game Options:

Play Call Style (HardCore) A must

Quarter Length (15 minutes)

Accelerated Clock (On)

Rush Defense (15) Overall: All Madden Level

Reaction Time (0) Helps the cpu run game

I've been getting great results with your last set. I'll give these a shot and post some stats.

Re: Football4Natic's Opening Day Custom Sliders Pre Patch

Hey everyone, I have been doing like many of you and searching these forums to find some decent sliders to finally make madden playable this year and I think Football4Natic is on to something here. I consider myself a pretty hardcore madden guy and I have used countless other slider sets on here to try to get a decent game with no luck. With the other sets I was taking the Raiders and killing teams 55-7 so when I seen these, and really seen how much tougher they looked then most of them, I figured I would just take a shot in the dark and try them, and boy am I happy I did. I used dfos81's team coaching schemes that you can see here http://www.operationsports.com/forum...rs-dfos81.html, and combined them with Football4Natic's sliders and got great results. I really urge taking control of all 32 teams in your franchise and setting the coaching schemes as I noticed a huge difference once I finally did. I would also highly recommend putting ALL the teams defensive aggression to zero other then the high percentage blitz teams. The teams that tend to blitz a lot for real life are still lowered to 20, because I just played the Seahawks and there ZERO defensive aggression, and I was still able to catch them on a couple of blitzes and it actually felt like I was reading the defense instead of watching them load the box with 8 guys and all out blitz me on every third down. This was by far my most realistic game I have played on this year's Madden and was so happy with the results I decided to jump on here and let everyone know. Anyways here are the stats of my Rams franchise week one vs the Seahawks.

Other Notes
I was sacked 4 times, with a couple of them just me not reading the blitz correctly and holding on to the ball to long. I wasn't able to get a sack, but the line had good pressure all game he just threw it pretty much as he got hit everytime I would get close. There were 6 drops in the game total, 4 of them were on my side. Two of mine were legit where my guys were rocked as they caught the ball. The other two were a little bogus where they just flat out dropped it, but it wasn't bad overall. I will just keep an eye on it over the next couple games and adjust accordingly. The two drops of Seattle's were both legit so no problem there. This game was really close back and forth battle, but I was able to pull it out thanks to forcing 4 turnovers and only giving up one. I had two picks, both with Laurinaitis and forced two fumbles, one on Carlson over the middle, and another on Owen Schmitt after catching a ball in the flat, and getting hit sticked. My only turnover was a fumble off one of their sacks on Bulger. Another thing I want to point out is that there were a total of 9 punts in this game, 5 by them and 4 by me, and that all of these scores were off of actual drives. The biggest play in the game was only 33 yards and for the first time for me Madden 10 finally felt like a chess match where my play calling actually mattered. I did see a little robo QB in the final two minutes of the game where I couldn't seem to stop Hasselback from marching down the field on me with his hurry up, but I would rather see it be harder like this, than way to easy and getting 6 INT's a game like I was with most of the other sliders. I would of liked to see them run more, but if this continues to be a trend of too much passing since I control all 32 teams I can always go shift there gameplans to run more and fix this problem. I played with 12 minute quarters, and a 15 second run off and was able to get off 148 plays including special teams. When these two teams actually played each other today they got off a total of 146 plays including special teams. Along those same lines, in my game the two teams combined for a total of 691 yards, only 2 yards off of the actual 693 yards these teams combined for today. Also if you look at Hasselback's numbers they are very similar. For real he threw for 70 less yards, but was 69.4% just barely off his 71% he was in my game and just like in the game, he threw 3 TD's 2 INT's. His average yards per attempt in the game was 8.3 with a QB rating of 100.2. For real he had an average of 7.75 and a qb rating of 96.9. He also had a long of 31 in my game and a long of 38 for real. Now I am not saying that this is a perfect sim by any means as I won with the Rams and they got beatdown 28-0 for real, but I was very impressed with how real my game played out, and was so much different then every other slider set I had tried on here. They are not perfect and they never will be, but as a base set this is an excellent starting point, and everyone can tweak them to their own skill level from there. Thank You Football4Natic!

Yes....All you do when controlling 32 teams is change the coaching tendencies for defense...

the rest is all dne by the cpu as far as free agents and draft and filling the roster.
