Who else is not a fan of people changing playbooks online?

Yeah I think you guys are complaining too much.

What if you've been using one playbook your whole time in Madden and you like to play with different teams online? They should just go blindly into a new playbook?

Exactly. I know the cowboys book inside and out, you dont have enough time with acc clock to be fumbling thru a new one. WTF does that even matter.

I see no problem with it. It's possible that the playbook for the team they want to play as doesn't have enough of the types of plays to let them play the way they want. They may want to play as the Saints, but run the ball heavily, so they may need to change playbooks so that they can run the ball without reverting to the same 2-3 plays all game.

As long as they aren't picking a playbook that will allow for some kind of exploit, you should be able to (and can) pick any playbook you want to use with any team you want.
