patch?

do i need 'live' to download a patch or does the game patch on its own? i know it is a newbie question but if anyone can let me know, i would appreciate it. i searched the forum so sorry if there is a thread already.

It will patch on its own, provided you're hooked up to the internet and have at least X-Box Live silver.

Yeah, it's 50 bucks, but that's for a whole year.

Plus, you can play this and other games online and get early access to demos, etc. It is worth it.

Xbox Live Silver is free. You needn't spend a dime to patch.

You can get patches if you're on Silver, which is free.
