Can't register Elite?

I just purchased the "Elite" status for $4.99 from the EA store. Only problem is, when I go to play an elite game, it says I must register in order to use it. But when I type in my info and hit "submit", it says "unable to retrieve content from server". It says this every time, no matter when I try to do it.

From what I can gather, EA representatives aren't being terribly helpful about the issue. No one seems to know what to do to fix it. Also, for some reason, its nearly impossible to even get AHOLD of a real person to speak with about the issue, and they won't return e-mails.

This stinks. I either want to be able to actually USE this feature, or I want my money back.

Any info/tips? anyone facing the same problem?

We're aware of the problem and have a team looking for a solution right now. No ETA on the fix at this point but it's our top priority.

That to me sounds like he is telling you to smell the smoke.

This should be fixed. We've tested 360 internally and are no longer seeing the issue. PS3 appears to have never stopped working.

i believe i've figured out the problem here. if the email address is different in the registration to get on the elite site is different than the one you bought the game with you can't get in. they have to be the same. worked for me
