Created Basketball league..

Hello, I used to play College Hoops 2k8 very often. So often that I started a project once. I create 30 teams and played it as a created team league. What I did was change real college teams names to created teams and then created players into my own league.

I played 2 years of that league, and now I need an upgrade in games. This year I will switch to NCAA BASKETBALL 10. I will just recreate the players and put them on teams that have the same colors and similar jerseys.

In this thread, I will update everything that happens in this league. Games, Trades, Free Agency, etc. I will also be doing a College Basketball dynasty with created players so I can get players for upcoming drafts. I will also update College Hoops too.

Until NCAA Basketball 10 comes out I will update you on my league. The past champions, best players, and teams.

For now I will just tell you all the teams in the league.

East

1. Comets
2. Badgers
3. Ice
4. Wildcats
5. Spirit
6. Venom
7. Knights
8. Chambers
9. Airballs
10. Dogs
11. Tigers
12. Hornets
13. Lions
14. Shamrocks
15. Passers

West

1. Yellow Jackets
2. Snakes
3. Americans
4. Cliffs
5. Evergreens
6. Alligators
7. Dynamite
8. Eagles
9. Robbers
10. Bearpack
11. Airplanes
12. Death
13. Buckeyes
14. Thunder
15. Tornados

Those are all the teams. I will later update this thread with top 20 players, team descriptions, and how i will run this franchise.

Please tell me if ur followin this thread and if anyone wants to come up with locations for each team I would be very thankful. I use to have names but the Orlando Ice didnt make sense. Anyways thats it. Expect more later.

Re: Created Basketball league..

Now Im going to explain some teams more in-depth.

Comets

The Comets were the league's runner up last year losing in Game 7 of the Finals against the Yellow Jackets. The Comets are lead by their 7'3 beast of a center Jose Javier. Javier was always a project for teams because he was a skinny weak big man. He'd get pushed around and never devoloped. This was until 2 years ago when Javier gained some weight and started owning the paint. Offensively, he is still raw but defensively, he is among the best. He averages around 3 blocks a game, not to mention the altered shots. He also led the league in rebounds last year. At power foward Darren Deisel is as intimidating as it gets. He may be a skinny 6'9 foward but he still manages to defend and get boards with the best. Where he excels though is on offense. He is more athletic than most bigs and has some of the best hops in the league. Lets just say Deisel will be in a lot of posters this year.

The floor general of this team is Chris Sings. He was traded for Chris Martin (Hornets) two years ago and has since lead the Comets to two straight eastern conference final trips. He is a traditional point guard and usually is in the top 5 for assists. He has a very good 3 ball but is getting old and losing speed. He may get steals but dont let that fool you he cant guard the young PGs anymore.

This team may sound impressive now, but I haven't even mentioned their leading scorer, Lucas Jacques. A star from Mexico, Jacques is the fastest player in the league. His quick feet makes him one of the best defenders, but he also has a nice stroke from 3 and can drive past most. The big question mark for this team, though, is Rashad Detrick at small forward. He is entering his third year and is the weakest starter on this team. He has a very good shot, but struggles on defense and getting by defenders. If he can contribute then this team is extremely dangerous.

The bench consists of three young stars. First is Darren Dumas from Kentucky. He is a born scorer, but has had some trouble off the court and his defense needs improvement. Daniel Owens is an undersized 2nd year point guard from Villanova. He is quick, but has difficulty getting shots off because off his size and big guards take advantage of him on offense. Last is the Comet's late round pick Alan Axton from Indiana. Axton was one of the best in college but is only 6'6 from the power forward position. He is extremely muscular and big for 6'6 but his size gives him definite problems. The Comets hope for him to give solid bench minutes for Deisel and Javier.

Projected Lineup Ratings and Potential
C Jose Javier 86 A pot.
PF Darren Deisel 91 A pot.
SF Rashad Detrick 76 C pot.
SG Lucas Jacques 89 A pot.
PG Chris Sings 85 B pot.
----------------------
SF Darren Dumas 72 B pot.
PG Daniel Owens 69 C pot.
PF Alan Axton 64 D pot.

Tempo: Balanced

Bottom Line: If Detrick and the bench can contribute, then the Comets may be raising the trophy.

Re: Created Basketball league..

Here is another team for ya..

Badgers

The Badgers finished as the 2 seed in the east last year and lost in 5 games to the Comets in the Conference Semi-Finals. They are led by do-it-all Shooting Guard Dee Bogger. Bogger has a large afro and is only 6'5. Yet he has one of the sweetest strokes in the league. He lead the league in scoring with 31 ppg and won his 4th MVP award. He is 33 now, and considered one of the best players of all time. He has led the Badgers to 3 championships in his 13 years in the league. Bogger used to be the best dunker in the league but his vertical has declined and now he sticks with his unstoppable mid range game.

Bogger does need some help though and he gets it inside. 7'0 center Abe Hanson has steadily improved and now enters his 3rd year expecting big things. He may not get many offensive touches, but he needs to dominate the boards and make an impact defensively. The other big man 6'11 John Hughes from Australia is one of the better big men in the league. He's averaged around 12 ppg for the Badgers since he was traded for (from Dynamite for Stevie Johnson and 1st round pick). These big men together dominated the paint defensively but need to pick it up offensively to compete with the Comets.

At point guard, Lewis Wilkinson is getting older nearing 35, but still may be the best defensive point guard in the league. He has won Defensive player of the year twice, but has lost a step. Offensively, he isnt expected to do much except set up the offense. He has improved his 3 point game though and will look to use it more this year. The last starter for the Badgers is second year player DeMetrius Gordon from Purdue. Gordon was involved in the Hughes trade and had a somewhat dissapointing rookie season. He is extremely athletic but struggled scoring and was just average on defense. This year the Badgers want him to be more involved in the game.

The team's starting lineup is elite, but the bench is what makes this team shine. Lewis Stehly is the reigning sixth man of the year averaging 15 ppg. Stehly is a sharp shooter and helps spread the floor creating space for Bogger. Slade Volic is a 6'10 power foward from France who likes to play outside. He has a good mid range jumper but is very soft. Then the Badgers have four guards in Jaycen Whitted, Brody Daley, Carlos Larson, and Tony Roberts. Whitted, Daley, and Larson are all veteran back up guards. They are all under 6'2 so size is a definite issue. Tony Roberts on the other hand is a 6'5 rookie guard who led Florida State with 19 ppg. He was a late pick, but may have to contribute this year if the Badgers want to win it all.

Projected Lineup Ratings and Potential
C Abe Hanson 79 B pot.
Pf John Hughes 86 B pot.
Sf DeMetrius Gordon 72 A pot.
Sg Dee Bogger 99 A pot.
Pg Lewis Wilkinson 78 B pot.
---------------------------------
SF Lewis Stehly 82 B pot.
PF Slade Volic 75 B pot.
SG Jaycen Whitted 68 C pot.
PG Brody Daley 68 B pot.
PG Carlos Larson 65 C pot.
SG Tony Roberts 66 A pot.

Tempo: Balanced

Bottom Line: Bogger is the best player in the league, but Gordon and Hanson don't improve the Badgers will fall short of the Finals.

Re: Created Basketball league..

Ice

The Ice won the championship a year ago, but had a dissapointing '08-'09 campaign. They only advanced to the Conference semi's losing to the Spirit. Once again though the Ice come back to the '09-'10 season reloaded.

At point guard, is Marc Phloris from Italy. Phloris controls the game's tempo and makes passes that astounds you. He has some of the best ball handling in the business and scores with the best of them averaging 17 ppg. His only weakness is his defense, where other point guards can take advantage of him. Phloris' partner in the backcourt Enrie Wayne gives Phloris a weapon on offense. He has won 3 consecutive sixth man of the year awards before and last year stepped up to a starting role and delivered 16 ppg. He is a great 3 point shooter, but is undersized against bigger guards.

To add to this stellar backcourt, Isaac Glaarten, the 6'9 German may be the best 3 point shooter in the league. At small forward, he is taller than most matchups. When he takes it to the hole he is one of the best players in the league thanks to having the best FT percentage in the league. On defense, he is suprisingly good because of his size.

The weakness for the Ice, is the big men. 6'11 Wes Bolton and 6'10 Elliot Williams are both solid players. They do well on defense and usually give the Ice the rebounding edge. Yet, on offense they have never combined to average 10 ppg in a season. There only points are off easy assists from Phloris or offensive rebound put backs.

The bench consists of 2nd year pro Damian Shelton from Syracuse. He is a 6'10 center but suprisingly shoots the 3 well. He spreads the defense, but has a decent post game to keep defenses honest. Shooting Guard Shane Kowalczuk from France is a 3 pt. specialist, but sadly can't do much else. Power Foward Gerald Zwikker gives the Ice depth in the front court, but not anything else. Rookie Brandin Johnson is amazingly athletic and was considered a steal for the Ice. Expect him to get extended minutes, and a dark horse for Rookie of the Year.

Projected Lineup Ratings and Potential

C Wes Bolton 80 B pot.
PF Elliot Williams 76 C pot.
SF Isaac Glarten 93 A pot.
SG Enrie Wayne 86 A pot.
PG Marc Phloris 92 A pot.
-----------------------------
C Damian Shelton 71 B pot.
SG Shane Kowalczuk 66 C pot.
PF Gerald Zwikker 63 C pot.
SF Brandin Johnson 67 A pot.

Tempo: Up-tempo

Bottom Line: The offense should be fun but without a post game and much of a bench, they aren't going too far.
