Superstar could be so much better! Ideas.

I personally love the Superstar Mode idea. But this mode needs some serious work.

There are a few things that i think should be done for Madden 11's version of Superstar Mode. Here they are:

1. I think that if you import a player from NCAA and you were a top player and a sure top 10 pick that there should be a cut scene of you're player getting up and goin to meet with commissioner Goodell and posin for the cameras.

2. I think that you should be able to negotiate your contract in the following months after the draft, you should be able to put what type of money your looking for and negotiate between that and what the team wants to give you.

3. After you are signed to a deal, there should be a week or two of rookie camps, can be 5 to 10 days. In this camp you should be forced to do specific drills:

• running around cones (to determine your initial route running ratings.
• Cone drills (to determine you initial agility ratings)
• Catching the ball (to determine your initial catching rating._
• Ect. Things like that, but this must be crucial to you initial ratings.

4. After that you should be goin to training camp to fully figure out your complete ratings. Also, training camp must be used to "Fight For a Roster Spot" which i think will make this mode so much better. If your a 6th round pick this will be a crucial time for you. This will figure out where you will be in the depth chart.

5. If your drafted be a team loaded at your position (WR) like the Cardinals for example and you have no chance of making the team then Preseason games will also be very important to you. If you have a couple of good games then other teams will be interested in picking you up, this would be "Getting Film of Yourself" for other teams weaker at that position to look at. But if you perform poorly in all the preseason games the you should be cut and maybe be a part of a practice sqaud.

6. If your in a practice squad then you should have to practice at least once a week for the rest of the season to keep that spot.

7. You should only get signed by a team to play if that team suffers substantional injuries to the position you play as an emergency player.

8. If your signed by a team after being on a practice squad then practice between games must be very important to your players development and to move up in the depth chart. Also if your constantly making the best of every oportunity then you should get more opportunities throught the rest of the season.

9. I also think that special teams play will be a crucial part for you to be able to keep your job. If your the best special teams player then you will get more time at your real position.

10. If you make enough good plays you should be a fan favorite, and a coach favorite and you will get alot more playing time.

11. You will become more and more like a leader if you make big plays in crucial moments.

12. There should also be weight rooms in the offseason and different types of mini games that will help you with your development.

13. Also i think that appearence should depend alot on how do on those min games. If you do great at the bench press then you should slowly but steadily get bigger muscles. If your great at cone drills then you will begin to look leaner and leaner. ECT.

14. I think that in the offseason when your a free agent you should see how interested other teams are in you and you should make a decision based on the money, team direction, coaching, players, location and interest.

15. Think you should be able to hear the broadcasters, you team leader, coach, fans and opposing players.

I agree, I love the idea of superstar mode. But it seems like one of EA's features they throw out there and never improve on. I love all of your ideas and I hoping they improve on SS in Madden 11 .

I'm glad someone out there loves superstar. Good ideas, especially about practice and preseason meaning something. In general it just needs more depth. Right now you just pick how the guy looks, and go play games. It needs to feel like you're on that team, battling to get to a superbowl. A few suggestions of my own:

1. Multiple camera options.
2. A reason to sign that big contract. 5 million guaranteed, great! What good is that too me? You can't use any of that money.
3. The ability to gain captainship, and call audibles. (could be in there and I don't even know it)
4. Bring back agent selection. And why the hell are there only like 6 things you can say to your agent? None of which really accomplish anything.
5. See yourself on NFL network making big plays or mistakes. Talk to reporters and do interviews.

Its sad that EA has had superstar for 4 years and has done nothing to fix it.

Road to Glory in NCAA 10 is truly a bright spot in the game, from the weekly video highlights about your player, to the fact that you actually have to fight and try to become a starter, not just get drafted third round and start over 98 overall players.

The thing most crucial to me is, I don't get to see where I go in the draft. And I know two different studios make Madden and NCAA, but, I NEED the class I'm in to be imported WITH me so that I can see, not only where I went but, how I match up with the rest of my class. I love the draft and it bothers me not only to not see where I went in the draft, but not to be able to see where ANYBODY went in the draft.

I was extremely disappointed in the 10 version of this mode, but if we have all this, then i for sure will play it non stop

i remember when this mode first came out, i playd it nonstop for about a week and then i started to see jus how bad it was...
train and train thrn play a game n train... got tired of it fast.

i think superstae could be the best mode on madden.

I enjoy superstar and played 2 full seasons and am in about 75% done my 3rd. I am a WR who got drafted by the Bears, dominated there, traded myself to the Colts, dominated there (as a team we went 19-0) and am dominating in my 3rd season with the team at I believe 11-1.

My problem right now is I am tired of how Manning is continually locking into me and it is causing stupid INTs. Also, SS is broken in terms of run blocking and I am sick of seeing my guys get killed. The team in my SS is the same as in my franchise and it is a dominant team rated 92.

Outside of gameplay the mode is clearly just a fluff piece and I agree, it would be nice if they worked on it and put in the ideas you have.

I also don't like how you can't create a kicker. This would be a sweet career to have especially since the kicking is broken in the mode as well. 40-49 yarders (mainly 40-43) continually get missed yet my kicker is a 98 for power and 97 for accuracy.
