Online Co-op

Does anyone know if there will be online co-op against the cpu at all for this game? It's one of the bigger unanswered questions out there right now in my opinion. I've been an EA guy for the past 3 years will probably buy NHL 10, however the lack of this option will make me seriously consider 2k despite the fact that the gameplay looks inferior in the few videos I've seen from it. The ability to jump into someone else's franchise online in 2k10 is a great option, but at this point I would take just single games versus the cpu. I've seen the question be asked a bunch of times by multiple people with no answer, and it would be nice to know either way. My guess is no, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Seconding this question.
I recall an admin on here saying Season Coop was in but unsure if that was for online play or not and this is something I feel is sorely missing. Ability to have a buddy join in completing your season and go through the playoffs with you online.

Anyone have any articles regarding this?

Re: Online Co-op

They mean Co-op Season as in 1-30 players on the same console. If you mean Co-op online, 2 on 2 to 6 on 6 EASHL leagues. You can have 3 on 3 versus 3 humans and 3 CPU so it technically is versus the CPU.

NHL 2k10 has online co-op everything though.

Re: Online Co-op

That's not really what I'm looking for. I don't have the time to put into playing the EASHL on a consistent basis, plus I don't always enjoy the online experience you get from playing random other people. I can take I would however enjoy playing co-op with friends against the CPU. I think every year someone says this, but it's a shame that these two games both have so many really great points, but so many let downs too. I would prefer they release every other year and get everything into it. Obviously neither company would do that though. I think games like Halo have online setup perfectly, I don't understand why more sports games don't replicate this. You should be able to play co-op online against or with anyone in any mode.

Re: Online Co-op

yeah, i had this in my wishlist as well. I was hoping this year it would be in, seems pretty easy at this point, they have the AI and everything from 1 vs 6...just allow us to start up games vs the CPU it is an unranked game.

I know a few people who would buy the game only IF it had this feature. We have a blast with NBA2k9 co-op online, but sadly thers no way in NHL to pull it off. co-op online franchise/BAP of course would be the holy grail...

I'm keeping my fingers crossed..
