Diaz vs Malignaggi

I wished I had seen it live, Just got a chance to watch.

I had it a draw, but how did one judge have it 118-110? Comn?

I had it 115-113 Diaz when I watched it live. That 118 judge was corrupt as hell.

Re: Diaz vs Malignaggi

I didn't score it, but would've guessed 115-113 Paulie. Diaz won the last round, and he was chasing Paulie around the ring. Diaz landed more power punches it seemed, and landed at a higher %. I have no problem with the decision other than the 118-110 score. And even that one shouldn't be that surprising. Some judges hate boxers who just jab and run. Some judges like fighters more than boxers. Even in FN4 I see scorecards that are all over the place.

Last night, online (using Monzon vs his Hagler), I thought I was involved in a very close fight going into the 10th. I thought I was down by maybe 1-2 points going into last round, but managed to knock him down midway thru the 10th and then with about 12 second left I stunned him and floored him again. To his credit, dude got up and we went to the scorecards for a split decision. Because of my 10-7 round, two of the three judges had me winning 96-94 or 95-93, but one judge still gave him the fight something like 97-90 - basically all rounds in his favor except the last one. So it happens...

Re: Diaz vs Malignaggi

Sorry acarrero but just because it happens in FNR4 doesn't mean it should happen in real life.

I hate Paulie and was looking forward to watching Baby Bull beat him down, but I found myself rooting for Paulie... I had him winning 115-113. I gained a ton of respect for the guy after that fight. He outboxed the hell out of Diaz. I also think his rant was justified and am glad someone in the sport finally came out and said something about it.

Malignaggi was robbed.

However, the real discussion should be: What was up with those trunks he was wearing?

the scores should have been closer, but to say Paulie "was robbed" is ridiculous. In no way was he "robbed" of a win. That is going overboard

Did you even watch the fight?

if you call running and throwing pitter patter jabs all night "outboxing" lol

imagine how bad it would have been if they would have gotten a huge ring like Paulie wanted. People want to see a boxing match, not a track meet.

btw, the cut was from an elbow
