Most realistic game speed, threshold and sliders (along with reasons)

Game speed- Fast
Threshold- 0. Threshold makes your reciever or player do some type of tron jog to alow the DB to catch up to you. Not realistic at all.

Now I did some timing from actual games and this is what I have found out

Average time for NFL dropback- 1.68

Very slow speed- 1.93
Slow- 1.86
Normal- 1.75
Fast- 1.66
Very fast- 1.45

Average time for kickoff- 3.51

Very slow- 4.2
Slow- 4.04
Normal- 3.61
Fast- 3.55
Very fast- 3.44

Average RB to LOS time (both timed in a run to the LOS on a zone run to the left)- 2.14

Slow speed- 2.53
Slow- 2.36
Normal- 2.3
Fast- 2.2
Very fast- 1.8

WR 7 yd stop route- 1.54

Very slow- 1.88
Slow- 1.76
Normal- 1.69
Fast- 1.58
Very fast- 1.41

WR 2yds and then run to post- 2.01

Very slow- 2.34
Slow- 2.18
Normal- 2.11
Fast- 2
Very fast- 1.93

40 yd dash- 4.4-4.5

(using Eddie Royal)

Very slow- 5.2
Slow- 5
Normal- 4.7
Fast- 4.46
Very fast- 4.27

I got the results by timing plays from the Denver vs Seattle than recreating them with different speeds and timing them on the game.

Now for regular sliders

Set CPU to all 100
Set User to all 5 as a base

Now adjustments

QB accuracy- 40
WR catching- 55

Breaking tackles- 60

Pass rushing- 75

Block shedding- 55

Thats all. Just enough to make the game more difficult but still keeps the realism behind the 100 vs pro

What do you recommend the speed threshold be if I want to keep the game speed at default "slow"?

The thing is, I care more about the relative speed of the players with each other....and not necessarily the timed speeds to match real life. Reason being I just don't enjoy the game on "fast" or "very fast". The animations skip around, the game feels jittery and silly overall.

Threshold always at 0 no matter what. Threshold just makes a unfair animation happen that makes the DB get a better advantage like a tron jog. Also fast is the NFL realistic game speed.

Get used to fast. Play like 3-4 games on it and you'll like it after that. I hated it at first because it felt like I was playing in fast forward mode. But now I like it a lot better, and when I switch back to slow on online games I feel like it's in slow mo. lol

User at all 5 = total lack of running game, most people are putting it WAY up. Also, fast speed, you really see some ugly stuff make its way into the game, like warping and downright jerky animations.

Re: Most realistic game speed, threshold and sliders (along with reasons)

no way having the sliders set like that is "real" or even close to fair. Basically doing that kills any ability for the game to go by ratings which makes trying to match game speed to real life speed useless.

I just do not get how some go on about trying to match speed to real life yet they are content to have the game not truly play in a realistic way by making an already programmed bias towards the cpu become even greater. Weird.

Why would I care if my QB dropback is replicating real life if I throw to a wide open WR only to have a cpu db 5 yards away warp over and pick the ball off?
