Power Move vs Finesse Move

What is the difference between a power move and a finesse move on the right thumbstick? I can't seem to figure out what the power move is. No matter what I do with the right thumbstick I always seem to end up spinning.

Re: Power Move vs Finesse Move

I think it automatically chooses the optimal move (power or finesse) based on how the player matches up with the blocker.

Re: Power Move vs Finesse Move

That's unfortunate, because some guys have a great rating for one and a horrible rating for another.

that could be true but this is how i think it works. b/c you'll get DTs spinning which isn't realistic. i think that right and left on the RS make him do a move "right" or "left". so inside or outside. infact im 99% sure thats what they do. now idk if this is a power, finesse, or whatever they're better at, but i think that part might be random. now i think down either does a spin move, or something. like idk why it would just be spin, but that's all i've ever seen. and i haven't tried it, but if thats the case, what is bull rush??? maybe its up, maybe its something else, or maybe when you move your LS down it does it??? anyone have any ideas?

Straight down seems to be your power move, up your finesse, left/right=poer or finesse move right or left, based on what I see.

I don't have a link but i'm pretty sure the right stick is used to choose the direction you want to go. The ratings of the player determines what move he will do.

Re: Power Move vs Finesse Move

Straight from the source:

"Just like with pass blocking, we moved all of the “disengage / special move” controls to the right stick to make it easier to pull off. Based on the ratings of your player, he’ll choose either a finesse or a power move – it just didn’t seem to make sense to make you decide which one to choose if you don’t immediately know what he’s best at."
