NFL on FOX: Final Sliders

This slider set is after the "PATCH" and is based off of ALL MADDEN DIFFICULTY. I tried every combination of Playmakers,Drew Bledsoe and Bill Harris along with mine "Slider Philosophy and theories" and I've decided that EA did more harm than good with the "PATCH". While thorough testing every possibilty I did find out that any "CUSTOM" sliders will open the run game up with no matter what you decide to use so this brings me to what I've decided on and you guys just half to trust me on this one. The games are realistic and very competitive but for some reason "ALL MADDEN" plays pretty good when setting the "COMPUTER" to the same settings "ALL MADDEN is. Believe me when I tell you this guys I tried everything and this is the best I have to offer and will be my FINAL SLIDERS.

After watching the 2009 Season opener last night Titans @ Steelers I have decided that the most realistic game speed is*FAST* but since the "PATCH" has changed the game so much the best game speed now is "NORMAL". When using "NORMAL" this will help the KICK RETURN problem and the KICKING METER will move realistic instead of to SLOW. I prefer "FAST" as I said before but the game doesnt play the same on "FAST" anymore since the "PATCH".

Very Important must read

To get realistic results you must play as they are posted here without any changes at all. Now the Quarter length,Accelerated Clock and Camera settings is optional but everything else is a must.

Yikes. Pass blocking at 75? Mine are set at 52. You would have all day to sit in the pocket on that setting. I can't run for ****, so I agree with your run block setting. I've got mine at 73 and I'm having to tote the rock 20+ times to bust a 100+ which to me is realistic for my team. I carried 25 times last night with Moreno for 98 yds, and only had 1 run over 20 yards.

Re: NFL on FOX: Final Sliders

Well what team were you playing ? your not going to run all day putting up big rushing yards everytime. It also depends on the team your playing and the play you call.

Example you could play the Steelers and maybe get 95-120 yrds rushing then play a team like Bengals and rush for 180 yrds but you could play these 2 teams 5 different times and get different results each time.

For the Pass Blocking it feels realistic to me and I use the TEXANS. I have tested over 30 games and there are SACKS plus the CPU Defense does give plenty of pressure.

Please just try 3-5 games with these before giving any changes. I an open to suggestions but play a few games first.

Re: NFL on FOX: Final Sliders

Pass blocking I guess is relative to what team you use. Not sure what your o line is rated, but since Denver's o line got a boost I might have to scale mine back. Sometimes with my RBK settings I have good games and not so good games. The Vikes held me in check and under 100 yards, while I had 137 against the Falcons D on 22 carries. Sliders are all relative to the player's preference, but I still think 75 for pass blocking is too high. You probably play all madden though whereas I'm on all pro. Ill try your set though tonight.

Try these for atleast 5 games and post your full game stats without changing whats posted so maybe we can make any adjustment we think need to be made.

Re: NFL on FOX: Final Sliders

Also if anyone converts these to a decent set for slow or normal speeds I'd be willing to try them. Very Slow and Very Fast are both entirely too unrealistic in general for me to bother with those. I'm not a fan of fast either but I'd be willing to work with it...

Re: NFL on FOX: Final Sliders

I actually like fast or normal but with the threshold and very slow it balance itself out. Atleast just try them for 2 qtrs. Im watching the steelers and titans now and thinking of changing speeds. I think fast or normal is actually what it looks like on tv. I think people prefer slow so they can decide or have time to think before they get hit etc. In football you really dont have alot of time to think or decide so this is why i may be looking into changing the game speed.

I think people prefer the slower speeds for the same reason as well. Very fast is probably closest to what the real NFL speed is, but us lowly video game players can't make the decisions and read defenses as good as the NFL QB's. Ill give your sliders a try tomorrow, working with TNKNGM's Very Slow Sliders, but I seem to just be able to pour on the points. Do you have any of your own stats to post with these sliders so far?
