If 2 teams would be added in the AL (to have a 32 club league), which towns do you think can host a new franchise????

Good article on markets for expansion

Expansion is not likely to happen soon, however. Also, I think this should be moved to the Pro Baseball forum.

1. Indianapolis, IN joins the AL Central, making both Centrals 6-team leagues (and waters down the Twins schedule a bit for a couple years

) Possible names: Hoosiers, Flatlanders, Ice Storms, Tornadoes

2. Portland, OR joins the AL West making it a 5-team league and a rivalry develops with Seattle over time. Possible names: Hippies, Commune Dwellers, Micro Brewers, Hempsters, Dread Rollers

But I don't think anything like this is going to happen any time soon.

very nice choices.

an additional market i would like to see a team is Buffalo/Rochester. IMO, NY is the baseball capital, yet upstate NY is without a team.
