Offense feels better this year BUT defense is just OFF

Offense feels a lot better this year.

But defense just doesn't FEEL right. IT is like watching a movie. You just don't have the control.

I feel like while on defense there is less and less for me to do. The character I have control of just isn't responsive the way I would like.

They removed the strip ball function as far as I can tell.

If the ball carries is already getting tackled my guy just walks right past no matter what button I try to hit.

DL interaction feels like on big script that I have little to do with.

Even if I manage to get past the OL my guy just doesn't move where I want him to. Half the time he falls over or goes in into a stumbling script.

Player movement on D just is responsive the way I would like it to be.

Having none of these problems..Sounds like you just need more time with the game

Yeah, the control feels "floaty"...one thing I used to do on last gen was straffe on defense while the play was going on. I've noticed on the PS3 version that straffing only makes the problem worse (less responsive). I've gotten better results just dumbing down the controls and not straffing and just using the left stick to control your guy. Even with that, it still happens where a guy breaks loose, I sprint to cover him, get in fairly decent position because I know the ball is coming to that guy, the ball comes and I don't make the play...even if I'm in good position. It's frustrating and strips the fun out of playing defense.

I always like D more than O so I can't agree with the general theme of the post but one thing that has me off my game is the momentum pysics. I use to be able to cover even Moss one on one in man coverage but now if you change direction to quick it throws your balance off and you kinda get frozen

I agree with the OP. And I hate they removed my d-line moves. Now its just a random stick mash. Stupid stupid stupid! I want to pick which move I'll use! Taking control away from the user is not a good thing.

I agree that is feel floaty.

The slider do not seem to be able to allow me to get more pressure either.

I do no want 2 sacks a game but one every other game wouldn't be bad. I just don't feel like I CAN get there.

Maybe I just need more time to adjust but I have a feeling that isn't going to be the case.

If I try to use the R-stick to get around the line most of the I fall over or if I do I just don't have control of my guy when I get around and run off in a random direction.

The best luck I have had is playing a DE and trying to sprint AROUND the OT. But if I get pushed in it is pretty much over and a lot of the time I fall over trying to go outside.

I have never had much luck playing a LB or DB in madden. So, I can't really talk about that. But I played DE when I played so that is why I mainly play D-line.
