Start Sanchez as he hasn't had that many games started in college. I think though that if he struggles a bit that Clemens should come in so that Sanchez sees every aspect of the game and not just get rolled over by other teams if he struggles.

Sanchez.

Sounds like he's been outplaying Clemens so far, though neither has been that impressive. But Clemens sucks and he's never going to be good, there is no benefit from playing him. And I think the Jets will run the ball well enough and have a good defense so hopefully we won't have to ask Sanchez to do too much right away.

This is a no-brainer. Go with the future of your franchise, Mark Sanchez.

Re: Who Should Start Week 1 for the Jets

Sanchez started 16 games against weak college defenses. There's no way that after a few months of schmoozing he's ready start day one against the greatest athletes in the world. QBs that enter the draft after their junior seasons tend to fail in large part because of a lack of maturity. Sanchez, despite being the most "pro-ready" prospect in the draft, is not ready for the NFL.
