I dont know whether to believe this or not because some guy on the gamefaqs forum for madden 10 said that this is true....

"- Must be able to pay the payment for the exclusive Madden 10 year online franchise mode, not to be confused with the free 1 year franchise mode. The difference between the 2 is that in the free version you can not keep team transactions, injuries, stats and results beyond 1 year (16 games, etc)."

So is this true? after buying the damn game for 60$ you have to pay extra to have a full 10 season online franchise? WTF is wrong with ea? i know they are money whores but cmon, also im outraged by all the ******** DLC. LOL, this is just rediculous.

No this is not true. Here is the thing about online franchise.
You have to actually purchase the full game from a retail store to have access to online franchise. Ian said on his twitter page that EA makes no profit whatsoever on used games. He then said, if you want the service that EA provides, you have to pay EA (or something like that I'm ad-libbing).

So basically, if you buy a used version of madden 10, you cannot access online franchise.

I gladly pay for xbox live. Compared to playing online with my PS3, night and day.

PS online is awful...you get what you pay for.
