Rule 5 Draft steals

We have all had them post some here, I just recently got Justin Smoak and than signed Lars Anderson. Now I have 3 A potential first baseman on my Marlins because I have Logan Morrison in Triple A. I think that I am going to trade whoever has the highest value for a stud, but we'll see.

However, my best Rule 5 draft was in round 1 I got Madison Bumgarner and in round 2 I got Dominic Brown.

Yeah Rule 5 draft seems a little overboard but I love that they have it in the game so I'm not going to complain.

It seems like there's an A prospect available every season.

I just did a fantasy draft franchise (simming) where I had Morrison in the Minors (behind Pujols). After the 3rd year, Pujols left via free agency so I bring up Morrison.

year 1 - 25 hr, 90 RBI runner up for ROTY behind Moustaffa or whatever his name is (3rd base A prospect that was also on my team).
year 2,3 and 4 - 40+HRs and 130+RBI each year.

All in all, 4 seasons, 3 world series titles and 2 MVPs. That guy is a beast!

matt laporta has gone 1st in both my drafts. too bad i can't get him

i got chad cordero in my last one. he's not great, but he has 3 pitches with good control and movement so that's good enough for me in the pen w/o having to give up any players to get them.

i got a few guys with my marlins chise. austin jackson and bumgarner were most notable. but in my dodgers franchises i got bumgarner at the deadline and he has been a huge bust. he went 0-10 one season with a 6 era

Were these guys put on the 40 man before you started?
I went in to my set and "fudged" with the 40 man rosters so that I wouldn't get these guys at the Rule V.
With no way to edit service time(yet)...it was the only real way for the semblance I wanted from the way the league "should" be.
I hope SCEA puts some real effort into fleshing out the franchise mode.
I love the start they gave it and can't wait to see what they come up with for future versions.

I will admit....I left Kyle Blanks off the S.D. 40 man in the hopes that they would expose him...but no good...he didn't become available.
Just as well...I would have felt like cheating.
