Patrick Kane, new cover?

Do you think Pat Kane will be stripped of the cover due to that Cab Driver assault? Just like EA did when they took off Dany Heatley for Joe Sakic. Post your thoughts here.

I seriously doubt it. This is nothing compared to the Heatley incident. This in fact holds up on the games "Are You Tough Enough" image. If your tough get demand your 20 cents or there will be repercussions!

I logged onto TSN this afternoon only to find this as a headline. Unreal! This 20 cent thing is insane. He will not be stripped of the cover. However, they should add a quarter to the cover. Give the kid an extra 5 cents for crying out loud.

Re: Patrick Kane, new cover?

I really don't see how you can say he should still be on the cover. He assaulted someone over 20 cents basically (If he's proven guilty).

If you're going to take Heatley off the cover for getting into a car accident and killing a FRIEND then there's absolutely no way to rationalize keeping Kane on the cover for purposely hurting a stranger over 20 cents.

Please put somebody else on the cover. If this does happen to be true, he's a complete idiot. A cover player should be someone you can be proud of.

I'll sympathize with Heatley a hundred times over before I'd sympathize with this incident.

Are you aware that Heatley pleaded guilty to to second-degree vehicular homicide, driving too fast for conditions, failure to maintain a lane and speeding?

Two kids who made mistakes.

But I agree, if Kane is found guilty, keeping him on the cover sends a bad message to younger kids who look up to him as a role model and he should be replaced.
