Will it always remain madden?

As we all know, John Madden retired and will not be announcing games this year. This got me an a a buddy talking and thinking, will EA ever change the game name from Madden to something else in the future. Maybe like NFL11?

I hope not, to me playing football means playing Madden, Madden is like a second name for NFL to me almost.

No I think they will always keep the name...

It has gotten to a point now in which most people would probably think of the video game instead of John Madden himself if they heard the word "Madden".

True... it's like ever since they started putting players on the cover of Madden it stopped being "Maddens" game if that makes any sense.

Sadly, it'll probably always remain Madden because of name recognition, even though the fat man has done nothing but take advantage of working stiffs and rake in millions and millions of dollars over the years putting out mostly a substandard product. Really, the fat man should be embarrassed.

Actually it's the opposite... the 'fat man' is the guy who made the game as realistic as possible in the early years, and I severely doubt he has had much to do with the QB Vision cone, or any other crappy feature since. If it were up to Madden, I bet you'd be seeing movie-like quality graphics, and every play imaginable in the game. I think you severely over estimate his influence on gameplay and graphics since about 1995.
