Huge Freezing Problem

Ok so I've tried to play 2 games in my online dynasty now, both have froze within the first 10 plays of the game. I posted this freezing issue in the bugs forum last week but heard nothing.

I do not use custom sounds, any idea whats going on?

I switched from 1080i to 720p and it didn't freeze this time...

Yep happened to me too, around this time last year.

What did you guys do?

And would that cause these:

A few players I've seen this. He has an arm band and it is bright green.

You can notice a couple white helmets on the field. I thought it was lighting but it certainly doesn't look like that.

You can see a random dark colored line in the middle of the screen coming from my player.

Any thoughts?

Quick update....
I followed this video: http://www.youtube.com/user/ps3repairfix and manually cleaned the lens out in my PS3. It took me about 20 minutes to open up the system and remove the drive to clean it. I put it all back together and ran about a quarter and a half and saw no graphical glitches or freezes. We'll see how long this lasts.

When it happened to me i just sent it off to sony and got it back within a week or two. I used to take apart my ps2 when it had problems and fix them, but id prolly be to scared id mess something up if i did it with my ps3 lol.

I actually think the ps3 is easier to get around inside than the ps2 was.
