Zazzali Draft Path WEAK

I am in year 5 of the Zazzali draft and I have to say its been very weak. Besides the first couple of years and a few amazing prospects like LT Oshinowko and WR Bender, this draft path is brutal. Its very top heavy. If you dont have a top 10 or 15 pick its tough to get players with POT over 90.

I did the Ozzie Jones path before this one and every year I found numerous players with high POTs even in the later rounds.

Is there a draft path that you have been through that is better than the rest?

Most people will say that the English class is by far the easiest. You can find talent in every position early, late, and often. It is by far has the most talented players.

I think it adds to the challenge, I have the Zazzali and my brother has the Ozzie, and he was showing me one of the years' and the Ozzie had an absurd amount of great players late.

i think its sweetney(only done 1 year) then zazzali then jones in terms of difficulty from hardest to easiest

english actually becomes more challenging after year 5 or so(at least for me) but the first few years its really hard to not go undefeated with the talent in the draft

Re: Zazzali Draft Path WEAK

I agree with the OP the Zazzali path is brutal for the first 5 years at least. I am currently in year 4-5 in the Sweetney path and it is starting to pick up but the first few years are pretty tough.

I think they rank from easiest to hardest English, Jones, Sweetney, Zazzali.

I had a theory that the drafts switch meaning English is easy early and hard late and Zazzali is hard early and easy late. However someone posted that they did the whole 15 years of Zazzali and said the last 5 years are tough. If that is the case there might not be any hope for the ZAZ draft.

It seems that if you start your carreer with a bad team you get the English/Jones paths and if you start with a good team you get the Sweetney/Zazzali paths.

I know you can save before he announces the draft and restart to get the path you want but it seems to me the first option for bad teams is always English and the first option for good teams is Zazzali.

If anybody has done more than 5 years on any of these paths please share your thoughts.

Makes sense. I do think its challenging and I appreciate that. I'm just comparing one to the other. I seems like the Jones draft was FULL of great RBs and Safeties. The Zazzali is full of great QBs and WRs and thats about it.

English looks to be the consensus "easiest" path.

Re: Zazzali Draft Path WEAK

I also happen to have the Zazzali class in my current franchise and it is frustrating to have so many mediocre players. I scouted the year 4 draft and saw so little talent I traded away almost all my picks for veteran players.

One thing I do like is it makes you build a little differently. My current team is built on trades and FA's with some filler draftees. Last franchise my entire team was from draft classes, but this time I am still holding onto about 80% established players.
