Am I the only person looking forward to SS?

I say this bc I play online and get sick of playing the same handful of teams all the time. From my understanding in SS you can play that weeks opponent which will make online play more diverse.

I also like the sportsmanship points, trying to hold ppl a little accountable for bushleague play.

I think SS will fall into the same category as Setup plays. You will check it out for a couple games then see that it doesnt really affect gameplay which is whats left when all else fails IMO, and forget about it. People online will play with the best teams regardless of what they implement.

Season Showdown doesn't enable you to play any team you wish, that weeks opponent or not, its an inherent ability. Sportsmanship points will do nothing to the style of peoples play, ill ask this again, who cares if their college has the most 'fans' playing online? Nobody. Epic fail is an oft-overused phrase, but it has found a home attached to this feature.

If you are looking for cleaner play, go to different boards (Well, this one included. Or make one of your own if you have a lot of buddies with the system and game) and join an online league, that usually increases the quality of opponents.

I agree with all the sentiments here. When you first see it, SS looks like a good idea, but when it comes down to it, will have very little effect on the way people play. Using your school in online dynasty will be more fun than SS ends up being, most likely. It's all about the people you play, that's why I play people I know that aren't consumed with rank and actually play with someone other than Florida and USC.
