Smile [360] [TW10] Need friends for the online leaderboards

Guys,

Huge appologies if this is out of bounds (nice pun) but...

I play on Tour Pro (no boost but with grid and putting meter).
Anyway, I shot +12, +9, +9, +5 in the Play The Pros there (Bethpage) but am getting better. My golfer is abot 7.9 now.

So why am I telling you this ? Well I want like minded players to judge scores against (or play with online). atm I have NO friends playing TW10 (I'm in Ireland and the game is not out for a bit here - but i got it on import region free).

So anyone want to add me ? Not talking about league play but just for some friendly competition for the mature (I'm mid 30's now) player

My Live id is "brianOn360". Send me your requests or let me know your ID.

I know I am not the best at this game but I hate see these huge online socres in the 1 try events knowing that some are getting there using 3rd party controllers that help to keep em straight off the tee

So with a big enough friends leaderboard these daily tournies will be much more fun.

ID: "brianOn360".

Brian, you're not too far behind where I'm playing. I was +2, -3, +1, through for rounds 1-3 in the "Play-the-Pros" at Bethpage. Turned around from the 71 on Saturday at Bethpage Black, and shot an 84 at Harbor Town in the Single Try Tour Pro event. My player attributes hover between 7.5 and 10. I don't bother trying to manage them, just like last year. I just deal with the hand they deal me. They tend to float up and down so it sort of takes care of itself.

I"ve got my clubs tuned to the point that I miss fairways and greens to a ration that I find realistic. Right now I'm 69% FIR, but I'm at 61% GIR's and falling. Missing a green in regulation doesn't scare me as bad as being on and 30+ feet away. I'm using meterless precision putting and it can be brutally tough. OTOH, it can bring a satisfaction that goes beyond anything Classic putting, or even metered Precision Putting affords. My average round in offline PGA Season play is 71.

I'll send you an F/R (I'm J Cauthen) and I think you'll find someone in your realm for leaderboard material. Speaking of which, wouldn't it be cool if the game would let you see a hole-by-hole score of people on your friends list if they happened to be playing the Live Tournament concurrent with yours? That would add so much to the live, dynamic feel of the live tournaments, IMO. They have hole-by-hole leaderboards for the Pros in offline season Tour tournaments, why not Live Tournaments? All you get to see are the 18 hole scores of the top 5 or 6 golfers (who're never in my sphere), while you're in round. Yes, you can see friends scores once you're finished playing the tournament, but that makes the Live Tournament feel less "connected" to me.

Re: [360] [TW10] Need friends for the online leaderboards

I just realized that you can filter by friends on the live tournaments as well (not sure if it is new or I just missed it).

Anyway, I try to complete in a bunch of tournaments time permitting.

If anyone on 360 wants to send a friend request, feel free. I'm kerosene31

Just a note, my house doesn't have a/c so if the weather gets too hot I am not really able to play much, so I might "disappear" over the summer at times. I'm usually ok most of the time here in Buffalo though

I have no friends playing this game, so I'd like to add a few at least to compare against on the live tourneys.

By the way, my scores are usually all over the place. On a good night depending on the course I finish under par (playing only tour pro of course). I think my best is a -8 or -9 on one of the easier courses. I usually seem to flub a few putts here and there which get me back to the -5 range. Other times I just can't seem to get my thumb to work at all and can't break par.

Just sent you a request there from xbox.com. Your low scores can help to motivate me to practice more

Cool! My score at Pinehurst #2 is nothing to gloat about... that course just destroyed me. It was less about golf and more about survival.

By the way, we could use a lot more people in this list. Too many players are shooting crazy scores, so the more friends we have to compare against, the better. Anyone on 360 playing regularly in tournaments, please post your gamertag. We won't bite.

Although I've only a couple of you guys in my friends list so far...it does make a difference. Gives you a realistic score to aim for

On a side note... I managed to improve my putting no end last night

A lot of puts say they are level when in fact if you chose the low down view you can quite clearly see they are not level. They might be slightly downhill or uphill. Same with the grid showing a break. Use the low down view to get a proper gauge of the break.

Using the grid alone (for me anyway) is not near accurate enough.

I'm game. Been a player of the TW series for a while, but just got this game. It may take me a few days to get my player's skills up for the dailies.

I'll add you guys when I get home
