Great Players I've Faced.

Ok, ok, ok... I see so many avoid lists- so I will start one to tell people about the games I play that are awesome.

I want to add a caveat.

1. I hate CAPS. The only reason to create players is to create an advantage that you cannot find in the game. The top 100 is full of a bunch of this junk. McDaniel is too short? Create a 6'1 bronze cover corner... Trouble with the run, create someone with closing speed; oh, or the brilliant ThorThorThor receivers...6'6 speed burning route gods with hops and soft hands? C'mon. Just beat me because you are better than me, not because I haven't created the magic bullet for your magic bullet.

entry 1. bgmotors.

I played him. He does funny things with his d-line, and has secondary players at linebacker; that can be frustrating. I don't think he created any players, and got an amazing performance out of McDaniel and Robinson in the Cover 2 Soft. He is a good player.

entry 2. PimpNerd

He waxed me. No created players, no gimmicks, just good play calls- and I think he was the one who used D. Manley with ferocious success.

Re: Great Players I've Faced.

Whats awesome about someone subbing a DB @Line backer and doing as you say "funny things" with their d-line?Doesnt that contradict your previous statements? Also There are several reasons someone may or may not want to use, play with or have CAP's.For example There are NFL style leagues and you Must use a CAP.Nothing wrong with that.I play in a classic league and most of my team has CAP's...same thing.

Re: Great Players I've Faced.

It is nice when people share good competitors they find in lobbies. We should have kept this thread going longer:

http://www.operationsports.com/forum...gamertags.html

I'm going to have to agree with Andromada's sentiments though. There isn't anything inherently wrong with CAPs. In many ways CAPs have helped keep this game alive for some. It has allowed people to recreate other legends or create NFL based teams. If it weren't for CAPs, the APF community would likely be smaller than it already is. While CAPs can be used as an exploit, they can also be used in a very sim way, and IMO you can miss out on some great gaming experiences and gamers if you refuse to play all people that use CAPs.

I too find it puzzling how one can want things to be super sim but enjoy when others try funny stuff and what some might consider illegal subs.

Don't play Amercyfull1.

This dude is Cheddar to the 100th degree.

Nonstop no huddle all game long, even on timeouts.

Does nothing but run crossing routes with his speed receivers over and over.

Really an unpleasant experience.

Re: Great Players I've Faced.

I'd like to give a shout-out to Setfree xX While some people on here and various other forums might have issues with him, I can tell you he's been nothing but class when it's come to playing me. Every different type of offense/defense I've come at him with he's legitimately shut down without having to resort to any type of cheese or even using "exploit" like schemes. On top of that, he helped tutor me in a lot of ways in figuring out & tailoring what kinds of offenses, defenses, personel, & schemes I should use to fit my style of play. In the 20+ times we played, I could feel myself getting better and better and noticed my play against other opponents (many of similar talent levels as myself) changed much for the better to the point where I was getting more wins.

Killah is also pretty dang good himself. As for the other guys in the top 5 mentioned above, I haven't played them enough to give an honest opinion.

Though I haven't played some of these players, I'd say that my favorite SIM players, and most sporting competitors are Autumn Wind and CreatineKasey.

Honestly, I don't think you can go wrong at all playing any of the guys in this community.

I'd like to give props to onefreemonth, who I played last week in a very good defensive struggle, and who is an excellent competitor every time I have played him.
